i'm a rockstar.
it's been ONE HELL OF A WEEK.
let's have a little recap of what happened shall we?
english paper was manageable, and i had fun highlighting my points in many colours. red for this, orange for that, and blue for something else. basically each guiding qns had one colour to represent it, it helped me identify the key things in the passage that were answering the guiding qns. you should try it too!
ok. tuesday was a break day, spent the whole day revising maths - that's because i ASSUMED it was going to be maths paper 1 on wednesday. and i was silly enough not being able to tell that it was actually chem paper when so many clues were dropped along the way, such as the council web message that said 'councillors taking the
chem paper, please meet at 7.20 blah blah blah', then someone also wished me luck for chem paper, which i failed to realised would be the paper i would be taking on wednesday.
ok, before you start thinking that i am retarded - i lost my exam timetable.
haha. ok, that was actually quite retarded.
nevertheless, i was saved by gen, who i called up to check the timing of the exams, and found out to my SURPRISE that its chemistry paper on wednesday! WOW.
wednesday - was dead tired in the morning cos i studied till 4am, and i couldnt sleep at all, i stayed awake the whole night. and i remember telling han an and john that i might have a panic attack during the exam, considering the fact that i prepared for the wrong subject the day before!! ROAR.
chemistry paper turned out to be alright, as usual, the mcq was quite a killer, but paper 2 was way easier compared to last year's. i had to switch to an alternative question for my section b which was risky considering the limited time i had, cos i just couldnt freaking get the graph right, and i didnt want to lose all the marks that were related to those damn graphs. things turned out well UNTIL, i forgot to attach one piece of my answer script to all my other chem papers.
SMART move deon.
so mr ventham and mr paul t. refused to accept my piece of answer script when i handed to them before everyone was dismissed. they said that the papers were 'sealed'. so deon just jabbed himself in his groin area by losing 8 marks for chemistry already.
thursday was maths paper 1 - turned out really well, could do all the questions except one. whee. :)
and halfway throughout the maths paper, mr paul t. snuck up behind my back and muttered into my ear, 'make sure you tie all your papers properly this time', and i quickly responded with 'sir, so my paper was counted?', he gave a slight grin and walked off.
SOOO, you all should know what's gonna happen. :)
friday was the KILLER COMBO DAY!
with HL bio and SL business for me, bio was mentally draining to begin with, then came business where i stoned during the 5 mins reading time. my mind was so exhausted at that point of time. apparently, they placed 2 questions from last years EOY business paper into this year's one, total cut and paste, exact same questions. i studied for them, so it was an added advantage la.
not like some people who totally memorised the answer scripts.i rocked my papers so far. still have chinese a2 to study for and maths paper 2.
